OpenConnect Server M2130 provides high-speed data transfer between IBMand IBM-compatible mainframe and midrange computers, and other computersor terminals connected to an Ethernet TCP/IP local-area network (LAN).M2130 is attached to the IBM host through a serial connection. It isused at sites where a channel attachment to the mainframe or midrangesystem is not feasible. M2130 is available in both low- and high-speedmodels, providing data transfer rates of 2400 to 64, bps.Functionally, M2130 appears to the host as a remote-attached SNA 3 x 74.Terminal access through the Ethernet LAN to M2130 is provided by eitherOpenConnect/Presentation Service ports (3270 or 3770) or byOpenConnect/TELNET Server. Other products that may be used with M2130 areOpenConnect/TELNET Client and OpenConnect/FTP Client. OC/TELNET providesfull-screen support for IBM users and allows access to Telnet servers onTCP/IP networks through Ethernet. OC/FTP Client allows users accessingTSO to transfer files through an Ethernet connection between the IBM hostand other systems attached to TCP/IP networks.
